The Riverbend Players is a group of enthusiasts from the local area who enjoy live theatre, music, comedy, and all other aspects of performing and producing entertainment for the community that is intended for people of all ages.
Our mission is to create and provide an opportunity for participatory involvement in community theatre, while providing a safe and positive atmosphere, and environment for same, with the goal of providing an enjoyable, quality theatrical experience for all.
Our business meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month, at 6:30 PM at The Jewett Community Center in Bucksport, Maine. Our business meetings follow a standard agenda.

The date is Saturday, March 29th; the event is dinner theatre in the ‘Cabaret’ style, with the theme being “A Taste of Broadway”.
In conjunction with Kravings Restaurant & Pub, of Rt. 1, Verona Island, Maine, The Riverbend Players present an evening of great entertainment, and as always at Kravings, delicious and impeccable cuisine. Seating begins promptly at 5:15 PM, with the performance beginning at 6:30 PM. Reservations are required, and may be made by calling (207)469-9900.
Early reservations are suggested, as seating may be somewhat limited. The very reasonable price for this fabulous evening is $30 per person *. There are several appetizer, soup & salad, entrée, and dessert choices for the evening, so you are not limited by a ‘set’ menu. So…what better way to welcome in Spring, than a lovely evening out, at what has become one of the favorite gathering places in the area with a unique and pleasing setting, delicious food and drink, and best of all….great entertainment that folks have come to enjoy and expect from the Riverbend Players of Bucksport. So, don’t miss out on this very unique opportunity to experience something very special, as well as a very good excuse to shake out those cobwebs, get rid of that cabin fever, and begin your Spring with a most enjoyable evening of great food, fun, friends, and as usual, some terrific good old Riverbend Players fun entertainment to boot!!
By special request, even though they both could not attend as our ‘special guest emcees’, we did manage to talk one-half of “The Grouchy Old Ladies” team into going it alone as our guest emcee.
So… the evening promises to have that little ‘added touch’ that folks have come to expect - and even look forward to - from The Riverbend Players of Bucksport. We hope to see you all there on Saturday, March 29th!! Don’t forget to make your reservations early now!
